The Economic Vitality Work Group is reaching out to you regarding a newly formed work group designed to harness the power of collective action.
A thriving community requires a vital economy for all. The Economic Vitality Work Group is made up of community leaders from different sectors. With a shared vision to cultivate opportunities for all people to enjoy the highest quality of life, the Economic Vitality Work Group convenes once a month to discuss community economic needs, set priority areas and goals, review community level data, and conduct improvement projects that would contribute to economic vitality in San Diego South Region. This work group supports the broader Live Well San Diego effort that brings together different sectors in the community to build a region that is Healthy, Safe, and Thriving.
We need to attract new voices to the table in order to successfully develop our shared goals!
Economic Vitality Work Group Meetings
Meetings are held on the first Thursday of every month from 10-11:00 am at the National City Chamber of Commerce, Conference Room (901 National City Blvd. National City, CA 91950).

Oct 24 Cal Coast Cares Foundation Illuminate Pathways Event |
The Cal Coast Cares Foundation invites you to join us for our second annual Illuminate Pathways event, presented by New Cars, Inc., to raise funds and help provide more local student scholarships and teacher grants. Sponsored by National University and San Diego Gas & Electric, this fundraising reception will be held on Wednesday, October 24 from 4pm to 7pm at the beautiful Torrey Pines campus of National University. The evening will feature a wine and sangria bar by Granite Lion Cellars, delectable food, desserts prepared by local culinary arts students, and exciting silent auction items and raffle prizes. Guests will be entertained as well as inspired by personal stories shared by past scholarship and grant recipients. Each year the foundation awards over $60,000 in scholarships and grants, and with students and teachers struggling to meet the increasing costs of education, the Cal Coast Cares Foundation's mission to support the education community could not be more critical.
