Non-Profit Monthly Workshops
Join us for our monthly workshop, a space for NON-PROFITS to network, share experiences, and discuss pressing issues facing their organizations.
Non-profit organizations are crucial to our communities, addressing specific needs and serving as key economic partners.

Our Speaker for this session will be Adrienne Valencia from the Arts Education Connection San Diego
The topic will be:
How to create and implement a human-centered hiring process for a Non Profit. I have been on both sides of the table – participated as an applicant and conducted interview processes – many times, and I’ve developed a protocol that has been very successful. I find that there is a lot of advice on how to be a good applicant, but not how to be a good interviewer. Here’s what my workshop would include:- How to determine if you’re ready to hire new staff
- How to shift your mindset so that your process aligns with your organizational values
- How to create an effective job description
- How to communicate necessary information to your applicants
- How to develop effective questions that give you the answers you’re looking for
- How to make a job offer.
