Salute to Navy Luncheon
National City is proud to continue a 68-year tradition of honoring the brave men and women of the U.S. Navy through the annual Salute to the Navy — the longest-running event of its kind in the nation. As home to Naval Base San Diego (NBSD), the primary homeport of the U.S. Pacific Fleet, our city shares a deep and lasting connection with the Navy.
Located off 8th Street, NBSD is a modern naval hub and home to nearly one-third of the Pacific Fleet. We proudly recognize NBSD not only as a neighbor but as a vital partner in shaping the future of our region.
