Key Responsibilities

The following duties and responsibilities are representative of those typically performed by positions assigned to this classification. Any single position may not perform all of these duties and/or may perform similar related tasks not listed here.

• Cleans offices and other areas in one or more public buildings, including toilets and kitchens.
• Sweeps, mops, and waxes floors.
• Vacuums and shampoos rugs.
• Dusts and polishes furniture and woodwork.
• Replenishes supplies.
• Sets up rooms for meetings.
• Empties and cleans waste receptacles.
• Washes windows.
• Polishes metal work.
• Turns out lights and locks doors and windows.
• Performs minor building and related equipment maintenance repair work.
• Maintains proper care of equipment and materials used in the work.
• May be required to drive from one assignment to another.
• Performs other related duties as required.
