    Job Profile Summary

     

    The Systems Manager II is a self-directed professional that wholistically manages and governs the lifecycle of the systems and applications used within our organization to reduce risk, improve vendor management, improve efficiency, enhance user experience and result in improved business outcomes.

     

    The Systems Manager II is responsible for end-to-end lifecycle of the applications/systems and work closely with business partners and vendors to ensure applications/systems roadmap are aligned with business requirements, applications/systems are current and meeting performance and availability SLA, cybersecurity and regulatory requirements are embedded, and application/systems is architected to support the continued growth of the organization. This role is also responsible for managing integrations with other FHCSD systems, lead incident management and root cause analysis, document SOPs and runbooks, end user training & support. This role also performs capacity planning and analysis; provides guidance and support to applications/systems users; works in a highly collaborative and fast paced environment with other IT professionals, Vendors, and business teams to ensure applications/systems meet current and future business needs.

    Job Roles

    • Responsible for defining and managing the functional and technology roadmap and projected budget.
    • Responsible for identifying vendors to meet business, Privacy, and Cyber Security requirements.
    • Ensures that applications/systems are technically viable and aligned with business strategic plan.
    • Trains users and works closely with the end user community to analyze feedback, resolve issues, and answer questions.
    • Manages and monitors the applications/systems to ensure that applications/systems are performing and all KPI’s are tracked.
    • Manages the integration of the applications/systems with other collaborating systems, ensures that the applications/systems are secure, scalable and comply with all relevant policies.
    • Manage applications/Systems lifecycle by implementing upgrades, patches and retire/migrate to a new applications/system when needed.
    • Defines, documents, and tests the DR plan for FHCSD hosted applications/Systems and coordinates with SaaS vendor to ensure DR plan is in place and regularly tested with established RPO and RTO.

     

    Education/Certifications/Licenses/Registrations

    • Ability and means to travel as needed in a timely manner within San Diego County, to locations that may have limited access to public transportation; proof of liability and property damage insurance on vehicle used is required. DRIVER REQUIREMENTS: Licensed for a minimum of 3 years; No more than 2 violations and/or accidents within 3 years; No vehicle related suspensions/reinstatements; No DUI, reckless or felony Driving with 7 years.
    • At least 5 years of experience in application/systems management and governance
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
    • ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) certification or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the skills, knowledge and ability to perform the essential job duties, and which meets any required state or federal certification requirements
